Grace Vincent was just six weeks old when she was struck down with a rare form of the brain disease and rushed to hospital, where she spent four days in intensive care before her family, from Newcastle, took the agonising decision to switch off the equipment sustaining her tiny heart.
But her parents were stunned when, freed from the tubes, the tiny girl - now nicknamed "Amazing Grace" - began to breathe tentatively on her own.
She is now on her way to recovery and her senses of smell and and touch and her vocal ability are all returning.
Her loved ones know there could still be lasting damage from the bacterial infection Strep B which kills one in eight affected youngsters.
Her mother Emily Ashurst, 26, said Grace was born without complications on April 3. Her partner Pete Vincent, a 26-year-old marine, had just returned from Afghanistan and was settling back to family life when their daughter fell sick.
But on May 16 she was rushed to hospital after Ms Ashurst, a hospital worker at Newcastle General, found her distressed, with the tell-tale purple patches on her skin. Doctors knew immediately her condition was serious and she was diagnosed with an infection of late-onset Strep B (or CBS).
Four days later scans showed Grace had suffered "catastrophic brain damage". Ms Ashurst said. "It was a bleak picture. The doctors said they'd never seen a girl as poorly as Grace. We came to the decision to switch off the machine on Wednesday. She was baptised on the Tuesday and all the family came to say goodbye."
But that moment never came. By 4am she was still breathing and giving her mother feeding signals. She willingly took her bottle and fed, confounding medical staff.
Two weeks ago she was transferred to North Tyneside hospital where doctors still expected her to die, as her heart rate was fluctuating wildly, but she was finally discharged on Friday.

i've been wanting to update on the recents but 我不爭氣的電腦!!! haiz
anyways...for the past 3 weeks is work..rest..hangout..sick...
works as usual!! but less pax due to the horrible economic...been to 2 great movie...
High recommending - Departures.
I have no idea how i gather my guts to go for that movie...not that its a horror movie..
but because i know that the movie is definately going to make me :'( ..anyway i've very glad i went for it...
the other movie is marley and me....similar to MY dolly, lucky and me !...dolly is of the same breed as marley and my lucky is as CRAZY as marley...marley is like a combination of my dolly and lucky...
other then those 2 movies..i attended a better than expected musical ...NINE~ performed by a group of final year student from lasalle ...i was there to support a friend whose was the female lead WOooHoo well done girl!....watching that musical reminds me of the choir and school musical days!! *reminiscing*....

I am scare of BIG crowds..where all the sounds gathers and when it gets over a certain level its just noise pollution, also dependent on the time.
then again i fear total silence. you ask me why? total silence is noiser than anything in the world...everything sounds crystal clear and loud. it could be through your ears but it could be the screaming from the inner self..nobody hears it except for yourself and it can get so deafening...

this evening i saw this very sweet and touching scene.
A dad just arrived at the airport. 2 little daughters from the other end of the hall ran towards dad. dad dropped his luggage, squatted down to give his little princesses a big hug...
i'm sure this is a common sight at the airport but well this particular one reminded me of another little princess running towards her dad whom she havent seen for month. In her sweet yellow little dress with a strawberry shortcake design on it..this 1+ yr old girl ran towards her dad ...dad dropped his luggage and gave this girl a great hug too...took pics and took a cab home with the little girl sat on his laps. tts the bond between parents n children ...amazed by how the little girl could remember what happened when she's only 1+ yr old and how she could recognised her dad..:D

this sweet, touching scene happened about 26 years ago..

接下來五天都是晚班。今天回家時在車上聽著力宏“心跳”專輯。
邊聼邊看出窗外的景色加上寧靜的夜晚是我摯愛。
享受當下還可動動腦筋想想事情。而每次一想就會想到很多有的沒的。
想到這個可以連到下個一連就可連的好遠好遠。
其中有今天翻閲過的報紙中有個心理測驗。是測試看你内心最害怕的是什麽。
問題：在案發現場，死者是位女生手中還握著一支口紅。
有四個答案而握選了C ：對未知的未來。因無法預計會發生什麽是而感到害怕。
老實説我是覺得滿凖的。雖讓我是很期待很樂觀但還是對我無法掌控的是會感到不自在。
過去的26年，尤其近幾年發生的更是不在我掌握之中。就在這我無法掌握當中做我能控制的。
而這測試的結論是無法預知未來有時也是好事畢竟有起有落才是人生嗎~
說的也沒錯貝~要不然這世界上也不會有驚喜，也不懂的珍惜~。

here are the recents thoughts..
it seems like i always have trouble putting all my thoughts into words.
i guessed its time to start reading more...but i dont exactly love reading..all i like to read are magazines and psychology books -_-"" i can read more on that maybe..
the lack of vocabularies, nouns, etc doesnt help me at all when i'm trying to form a proper sentence eh...

staring into space sometimes i would wonder
in the midst of all i was woken
uncomprehending is who i am
calm on the surface
ruffling on the other end.

gathering with the beauties from OHSG..
we had our own version of CNY gathering and that is at the Chong Qing hotpot at Tanglin Shopping centre but a pity few couldnt make it due to other commitments..but that's ok..:D we can always organise for another one YEAH~~ :D

finally its off day again...and today's shift was busy with events happening after another..
if everyday's going to be like that..i guess i can be a superwoman soon..-_-""
having a million n one repeated qns being asked...we're also been surprised by incidents..
frm qns to emergency to crazy queues? to crazy calls and of cos the daily audits...work is worse than being in the military i think...oo n i think i was audited via phone too!..what a day...everyone's so stressed ..w flights being delayed..w irresponsibility airline reps..will end up with many stressed frontliners and many angry mop/pax ? anyway..its juz another day..
reached home..switched on my com...a msn window popped out...bad news...a fren of ours passed away due to cancer. thou we werent close frens..thou we've not met for few years..but still...
i can tell that he's be a very optimistic patient..and now i could only pray that he's in a happy place now.
i always wonder..whats life after death...
i wonder even more ever since mommy's been called back to the lord..
i wonder if we'll lose all memories? and if so whats the point of having us here..
so when we leave this life ..the nxt would be enternity? and if so..then why are there newborns?
then my wonders will go wild like..why am i in this planet? why earth and so much more..

anyways i finally gave in ..went to the doc and took a day mc on mon ...
working on sun and am sick with block nose, sorethroat, body aching all over, feverish but feeling cold at every other sec..having the floaty feeling and having the weirdest qns does its job at giving myself a reason to see the doc finally...
luckily it was a day mc n 2 days off cos its my off days anyway~
better..but nose still blocked..but at least no more sorethroat which was such a relief
cos i'm so paranoid that having sore throat will means nxt coming up to be cough..
and i hate coughing cos it always damages my voice everytime and changes it every time..
esp its already so 'injured' ever since that 3mths ..
and to have the 'injured' throat takes a great deal of time and yi zhi li !! -_-""
so...nonono i dun wan cough cough to come...so keke
this time i managed to tame it down *fingers crossed*...

Happy 2009!...

its now 3rd jan 1223hr ...that's fast!..as i was going to start my entry as getting 'heart.beat' album on 1/1...a cool start up for 2009...

i'll try to search for the songs on imdeen and load it onto my blog when i'm free..but for now..its just me going on about how nice the album is.

i'm oftenly asked..so which is ya fav song among all of leehom's..

out of the 10 times being asked...11 times i would say..there's no way for me to choose..

cos i juz love them all..maybe there's a couple of which i would preferred..but still that doesnt mean i dont love the less preferred ones. especially when his songs has got so much depth in it...it all seems to have so much meaning even if it sounds like the simpliest piece ever ..but it may carry the strongest meaning.. so.. i cant ..i would give u one title..n 2secs later another long list of titles there i'll get from those ppl who ask me...just say u like all.. -_-"" but in the first place u asked which one's my fav... i can say i love the wide arrays..like hiphop r&b ballad soft rock rock blues jazz classicals oldies and even musical !!...

New Year's eve

...in another 5hrs and 27mins it'll be 2009..i cant imagine how fast this whole year passby..
so before the year end..i tot i would like to leave a note here with that little bit of mental power left..with that bit left i could still cheer *huUUurrrray~~*...its a 2 days off!! u know doing morning shift is not bad..but its quite torturing too cos i'm not the morning person..especially having to get up at 4am? *haiz*..i'm too slpy for any countdowns today...so i'm staying in and watch the countdown in the comfort of my home ..on the sofa...with the big screen...with no crowd...no sweat...i just love it..haha i guess i'm really getting old.. i was planning to collect the preorder album "heartbeat" by leehom...but i was too tired..outside was drizzling and humid and hot...and so i tot it will then be a new year "present" for me ...am collecting it tmr!..keke
ooo and i want to conclude whats my best gift for xmas... i received this priceless email from a fren who disappeared for like over 6mths...before we're like chatting everyday..and one day she decided to juz disappear...at first i tot it was juz the cranky com again..but well..it was way too long and with the occasional depressions...it worries me and my last resort was to contact her bf via facebook...thx to the invention of the facebook...and finally i've got a replied frm her bf saying she's ok and getting better...and on xmas day itself...as usual ..after work..home..check email...*tada*...her name appeared in one of those unread mails...i was like 0_0.... OMG!..haha..
there..it's that simple - a priceless email . the priceless relationships....

the flu med i took last nite didnt help me much with sleeping..
i fell aslp for 2 hrs and got up..couldnt slp ..hang ard...no..i mean staring at the ceiling for awhile..and lucky enough back to zzz i think..haha i cant remember much i guess i was abit dowsy then.. and now too~..cos i just took another 2 tablets :S...hoping it'll be better tonite..
but my dear fren msned me..when at first i tot was our normal daily greetings..
i was abt to tell her i'm going to slp ..she told me she just broke up with her bf of 7 yrs..
0_0 <- thats my reaction...:S its been ..freaking 7 yrs..i knw them when they were just frens and then got together...there again..i guess..nothing's forever...thou of cos everyone hopes that there's the everlasting love story..but how many turns out that way? i'm not sure man!..

and accompanied with sorethroat is my runny nose haiz..so saddening...

...xmas round the corner meaning december coming and that signals a new beginning with new direction...i'm not totally sure about how its going to turn out..but i pray it'll lead me on to many different opportunities :D .. my new job is totally different from my previous jobs...totally different industry..and something i never thought of ...-_-"" haha but its at a place i've wanted to work..and thats the airport..haha..reminds me of the show..chong shang yun xiao~~ ok anyways..its cust serv.. haha...well hope from there i'll pick up relevent skills for marketing ? or who knws i might juz love the job and stuck there for the rest of my life...
one very cliche reason why i want to work at the airport..haha..cos it brings me closest to the rest of the world..the gate! to the rest of the world yeh?! haha...well...i just pray for things to move on smoothly :D
oh..and signing the appointment letter was a torture for me...i think i'm so used to doing freelance..the second when the agent brought out the appointment letter for me to sign..i was like -_-"" its not like its a contract of a couple of years ..not like i'm bonded for years..its just the typical work..with 3 mths probations and some other stuff that leads to a total of 6 mths..and i felt stressful...true enough like the guy said..6mths is nothing..really!!...time flies..thou in denial i still got to agreed on that fact...so i signed...besides..i could get some relevent experiences..and who knws i might love it haha..anyways..
so i was on the phone w my old, long time, ex choir, ex classmate, still crazy fren ..ok we talk on the fone very often and very often we'll talk abt the days in choir..and both of us tot that choir was a HUGE part of our high school days...it contents my happiest moments...my craziest moments..putting a lot of time into practising for all sorts of performance...and there we were singing some of our fav songs from choir haha..
silent nite (diff version from the norm one), donna no biz pecan (i hope i got the spelling rite), the african song for syf...the musical songs...crash go the pitchers~~ ..memory...phantom of the opera...think of me...NDP songs...aiya..soooo many..

its a raining day and things are gonna get better~~~

i think i twisted my index finger~...abt 10 years ago? i twisted my 4th finger while playing basketball -_-"" but it wasnt serious..so i tot it was nothing..then i continued on with my life like playing guzheng and piano~ haha..juz felt like the finger's out of place alittle at times...and it looks weird too~...now i've got the same feeling for my index finger -_-"" and i think i twisted it while i was trying to pull away my comforter weeks ago haha...thats how fragile my fingers are :S or how heavy is my comforter..haha..anyways..i guess i'll go see sinseh some day~...*comparing both of my index fingers*..one does looks ...weird...and feels weird...argh!..

fri..had dinner with some of my old schmates..
at..punggol...0_0 drove there..but we lost our way haha..luckily for live updates from my fren's fren..who lives there....anyways..its quite a relaxing place for the neighbourhood..but to losing the way was-_-"" haha to imagine we were there..but cos the park was tooooo freaking dark..we tot that's something else..haha..then i was say..are we going to eat by the pond? cos b4 setting off..i checked the map..n i told my fren..OOO there's a pond in that park...-_-"" my fren was laughing at me...to say something like that..cos she says all park has got a pond..well...then ...so then they were laughing when i said are we going to eat by the pond....is it so funny?..cos i have no freaking idea where that place was...and when we finally made our way there..we're by the pond...not bad in that cooling weather cos it rained that day..otherwise it'll be too hot for me..give me winter!!
anyways..so sat came...stoopidly its monsoon period..i have NO idea why my gals n i made plans to go to sentosa's beach? like what's the point? haha there's no sun... the nite b4 one of them texted me if we're still going ...i'm not sure man~..well we can always stay at vivo if it starts to rain...haha...and true enough...it was a bad day ...didnt RAIN..but it dizzled and we tot we'll juz hang ard vivo ...ending up doing massage HAHA...but that massage was GOOOD!!! my back ache is gone for the day..but its slowly coming back again -_-""" lao liao!...when i got home..i felt like i did some crazy exercise cos my whole body was aching like its not mine...hmmm

for past hr plus..my mind's been running like a wild horse and its gona give me a bad headache soon ..
so i decided that maybe i should do some typing to clear it off a little..
it might help ..it might not..
for the past 3mins...i stared at this blank blog thinking...what exactly my mind's busy with?
then to really think of it..my answer was random stuff..with no beginning or end..i really do not know where it all came from and that's kind of annoying cos i cant seem to sort it and rearrange it into proper words to leave it on the blog...maybe i could subject it...like..i was thinking what exactly i want in life..then i was thinking abt what my frens said..i was also thinking about my family..then so random i was thinking whats the world gonna be like 20-30 years later OO not to mention my fren juz sent me a bunch of photo ..whom i've not met for 7 years..so whats like 20-30 years later..i would then be in my 50s..omg..its now getting abit freaky ...OMG!!!..yes its freaking me out...how much accomplishment would i have by then? or will i have a happy family with grandkids..HAHAHA..running abt..then i would must probably be screaming..erm too old to scream...be nagging at them...stop running abt..urusai!! ..haha..omg..that sounds funny but freaky ..then i would probably go ard to meet up with frens by then everyone's with greyish hair..haha...ok maybe i should stop branching into this topic and see what else is going on in my mind...so i was think abt am i a good listener? i think so AHHA...*thickskin*...well at least with a few well proven 'speakers' ...i can have a OPEN heart when it comes to listening..but if i were to be the speaker...its almost near to "SHUT"..i guess only a fewFEW gets to knw abit more...so that links to ..can they understand me if i dun say everything? ..i am sometimes envious of those who could say everything...well i can be loud in some ways..but some deep down feeling..its not voiced out like 99% of the time...i am a BIG sponge good at absorbing even after 26 years...am still functioning well and hope will always be till u knw haha...so that concludes to why i tot of doing psychology..:D well...anyway...erm...half way thru writing this...i guess if xiao mei's reading she would think what the hell did she eat today to have all these weird tots...(quoted from the comment she left me on friendster)...let me tell u what i had..I had a WHOLE LOT OF SALMON..all kinds...i tell u ...its so sinful but good! haha..cos i think i had my whole year? or whole life kinda amt!...its crazy!...cos i went for the KBox buffet tis evening @ marina...OMG n the salmon sashimi ..i think i had like 7? plates (for measurements i'm referring to sakae sushi) imagine 7 red plated of salmon sashimi with crazy load of wasabi..haha..then i had like 3 pieces of that "fried salmon? thing haha" god knows whats that calledd but its crazy good and crazy sinful cos its crazy oily and now i'm thinking i'm most likely suffering from a crazy salmon overloaded..haha cos what i'm saying sounds abit crazy even to myself ...-_-"" but u should try cos its good...haha...i guess its really worth the prize for my case ..HAHA what did i just typed..prize ..haha sorry i meant price ..*keke*...oo n i also had some other stuff...after stuffing all that INTO ME!? like i say..i can grow fatter even by taking a tiny breathe..imagine me stuffing so much food..i am crazy full !....haha all i can say to console myself is...neng chi shi fu..so wo hen you fu qi...erm...so qian qiang...
anyways...u knw what...i know since choir days in sch that i cant sing when i'm hungry...haha i would sound weak...n u probably wont be able to hear me n ms yap would probably throw her stand off the stage again...
and today i learnt that i CANNOT sing too when i'm TOO FULL!...haha..n my theory was..cos there's too much food in the stomach...i cant breath enough to sing..haha cos my lung has got no space to expand for my O2...n i think i'm kind rite in some ways...really..not joking at all...so u knw..u could juz go for the buffet sing and dun mind that crazy voice...but have crazy good salmon..haha or juz listen to the original singer while eating haha...
aiya...enough of my crazy salmon day.... back to my tots....so what was i thinking?
erm..so talking abt salmon clears my mind alittle now cos i was thinking what i had today..
but still i feel abit ...i dunno...crap? not really ..alittle crap..maybe... 亂ah！！bingo?!..

i started to take notice of this girl couple months ago on "discovery & travel" ie the traveling and living channel..when they played over and over on this girl promoting the upcoming travel programme fun taiwan and that girl is janet hsieh..well the trailer was well done cos it captured my attention and she seems like a very interesting person..well, she proved it in the programme...besides that she's a very daring person! haha..very smart too!..

the BEST thing was..she's doing one of my very dream job haha..being able to travel around hosting programmes going to place where the 'usual' tourist would never explore..that's the best part of a travel host... :D well it may seem so glam so cool but i'm sure there's LOTS of hard work behind the beautiful scenes we see on tv...but well its a different experience after all and honestly ..how many ppl get this kinda job? ..so envious ~~~~...haha...

well and only recently her increase appearance on other tv programme like ylbfb, etc that i got to knw more abt her..and all of a sudden her blogs and website appeared infront of me...haha...

...typical hangout with my girls would be... pigout pigout and more pigout haha...shopping shopping and more shopping..so typical!..well cos the trip to sentosa beach was postponed to next sat..so we ended up at orchard round w my two other...
typical situation would be my dear fren van being "abit late" that is like 45mins *puke* so i was hanging out at kinokuniya like usual ..since i was there i bought a 2009 diary..and was checking out some pyschology books thinking how i could help BEEBOO...haiz..i tot i should have took the psychological course at uni..thou i did...just 2 modules...haha which wasnt much relevent to what i tot i need now..but ..:D maybe i should do that course in some near future:D..
upon arrival of my 2 frens..(to be fair..one being late..one was told last min to come join us since she's got something else to attend to in the evening)
first round...and its my first time ever ..i had ....DURIAN icecream and dark chocolate icecream which was common..i am a durian LOVER but i dun eat or more like i've never tried durian puff..durian kway..durian whatever before other than my DURIAN FRUIT...haha cos i tot nothing's gotta beat the durian fruit itself..and well..i provided myself rite today by having the durian icecream...but well..thou it wasnt as good as the fruit itself...its good enough to curb any durian crave for a ..awhile? haha..i dunno how long that while would last thou keke..
so..its good enough...and durian ice cream with dark chocolate icecream together taste ..funky..cos its both very strong tasting elements...but its good for me..not for dwee thou haha..she tot was too crazy..haha..
anyway...after that was shopping and dinner at pepper lunch..then more shopping and was for coffee again..wanted to go to the starbucks nxt to hmv but it was SO packed..so we got no choice cos my usual choice of TCC is renovating? or i dunno what they're doing...
so we ended up at the hk cafe at cineleisure...for my ice yuan yang :D:D and mochi (not as good as my popo's)

......great concert!!!!!....hahahha..... HAHAHAHA..
i guess i'm in a crazy high mood now with a mixed of post concert syndromes again..just like what happened in tw.. also added on very hoarse voice and deafen alittle..haha..
but..its all great..but i guess the concert in tw was a tad better...anyway...u knw i really suggest that the the vip seats or like those "free given out" seats should be at the back ..cos its pretty annoying and bored to see those people sitting infront and looks like they're not v much involved...
and the security is annoying me like crazy..well again i know they're doing their job..but well..could u TRY not to block my view -_-""""
anyway i got a great seat..but i didnt really used it..cos i wasnt even at my seat for the whole concert HAHA.. since i got the row 9..seat 1...i moved into the aisle in the centre :D got a PREFECT view..he was practically rite infront of me :D so...once the concert started...begun with whats wrong with me...and ...a couple more songs...he was so high..he came down..so everyone rushed to the front hoping for a hand shake :D keke...

....happy halloween !!..thou its technically over already cos its 2:59 am ...anyways..
its been a really long long day..cos it all started at ...530am... not getting much slp last nite...
since i gotta get up ard 5am..what for? haha erm..to get to the airport to welcome the arrival of music man..haha well i'm there cos i'm not working today too so WHY NOT!? yeah...so ...w no slp...reach the airport at 610am..my fren told me that his flight has already landed ...phew...waited around...there he is...w a hat and a great looking shades..I LIKE!..big shades :D haha..so anyways..erm...he came out..say hi...and all w a few cisco guards around him -_-""" got some stuff for him...but i was kinda blocked n missed by alittle..when he went pass..when at the same time i say this is for u ~...i guess he saw or heard?~ he stop turn back :D n get it ...nice guy HAHA...anyways..w those big guys around...we all moved to that big white van ...got in..said bye...doors closed...after awhile..opened and say..quickly go home n get some slp haha..sweet guy haha...anyway..bought the mac breakfast and went home...
took a short nap ...did some work at home..till around evening ..drove over to grandma's place to have dinner w her.....watch some tv...left ..came home...my now driving buddy called and ask if i wanna hang out for supper -_-"" like i juz come home from her place ...but anyways cos she say she wants to drive..so fine...
the target was actually east coast park..
but cos i really dun think i knw my way there since i seldom go there..i told her i wont knw how to tell her the way...so then we tot of going back to our common hangout amk 24hrs mac..but its boring...then its serangoon garden coffeebean..but they're closed when we reached...hmm
what can we do...she called her dad asking if she could drive to ecp...not much of a choice...he told us how to get that... frm what cte..to kpe...off we go...on to cte..my dear fren didnt wanna believe me..got into the wrong exit...ended up on the route to TUAS! omg..tuas..that's like..another world to me...haha so we quickly turned out to balestier..and really we ended out in town..ORCHARD road..in my VERY casual clothes...tees n shorts -_-""..but it was a great hang out..cos we're in town on a fri midnite..in our very casual clothes..its so relaxing...

1st to check out the eslite bookshop again ! ..and then to meet yating n her husband for lunch:D

i reached sogo at 1050am...the security guard stopped me -_- w the earphones on i didnt knw what was he gesturing at first ..took it off haha i heard him say they're not opened yet :S haha..so embarrassing!!..keke...and to think my dear local fren told me they open at 10am -_-""" the security guard told me that the supermarket in basement 1 has opened -_-"" so i went to checkout the supermarket...lots of yummy japanese food..
erm...then went up at 11...shop ard..bought some stuff....and then went over to eslite.....

25/9 ....
haha gosh its been a month and 2 days..and i'm still blogging on that ..
i gotta blog it before i forgets everything :S
so... 25/9 (thurs)...ok that's easy...
joined a jiu fen trip...its a half day trip...costed abt NT$1100..
and there's only 4 ppl for that tour !! 4..? haha..the ppl are only interested in shopping in town?
hmmm..not to mentioned that we actually wanted to join another tour..
which is a 1 day tour...going to jiu fen and a couple of others like to see that ...'lady head stone' i cant remember whats that called...so that's a 1 day tour..costing NT1000..but -_-"" they didnt have enough ppl to start the tour ...*sigh*...they have a group for 26/9..but i'm leaving on that day..so ...TOO BAD..
anyways...the trip to jiu fen was great...thou the journey's abit bumpy...and on the way up..-_-"" we went under this tunnel erm or cover thingy..the tour guide explained to us why there's this 'tunnel' here..due to the very often landslide at that area..like big rocks will come rolling down etc.. -_-"' that wasnt really good to hear when we're still on our way :S
anyways..i had my fav yu yuan ..ie the yam ball? ooo that reminds me to search for the recipe online :P!!!!! and had a variety of that meatball ...bought packets 特產back for my family :P bought a leather bag i've been looking for...erm
that's abt it...i'd go back again the next time i go...cos i really like that place...its such beautiful little town..just like the good old chester in uk :D

so.....erm...since my fren wanted to get a ds and didnt knw what to ask..so i did most of the asking and checking out of prices...and those ah bengs there struck off the inner, built-in ah lian in me...thou i guess i cant win my fren..cos my fren then continued conversing in hokkien with the old beng...haha then i juz sat there shaking my head as thou i was watching a tennis match..well cos i cant understand hokkien..so i could only see n watch..
ok..so despite of all those ah beng/old beng ..nothing !! NOTHING will beat this guy i come upon to at the authourised apple shop at simlim!..
ok..so since i am 'waiting' hoping there'll be a new design for mac pro...a new macbook pro came out :P which was very tempting...so i tot u knw..since there's a apple authorised shop..i might as well check out the product itself...so asked ...is the new macbook pro out on display ...
the sales..oo nope...it'll only be out here 2weeks later...so i'm like..oo..Ok...

真的一年了

去年這個時間我已經召集所有在新加坡親戚來到醫院了..
在過多about 半小時就一年了...我那天不知爲什麽怎麽都不肯離開醫院...
即使我各天有工作都要一直坐在媽媽旁邊抓著她的手..
爸爸就在樓下的沙發休息畢竟他每天都在那裏...很累...
我就一邊看著媽媽一邊看著那些儀器...
從11+pm開始BP就開始掉...儀器一直beepbeep響...
護士一直近來我們的房...挑高了藥物又出去...
但沒什麽效果...又響了..護士又近來了...就一直這樣不斷的來回...
我就很擔心又什麽都做不了的時候 - 就是手足無措....
又不敢離開病房因爲很難說下一秒會怎麽樣....
打給爸爸&哥哥手機...他們太累都沒聽到...急..繼續狂打...終于爸爸聼電話了...
馬上就上來....同時隔壁房的病人也是很不妙....醫生也來了..去了隔壁房...
又過來...說他真的沒辦法了...
就是這樣慢慢的BP, heartrate, breathe 越來越低..
就是這樣的帶著微笑上了天堂....一年了16102008

一年了 - 十月

沒想到這麽快就十月了。這也就代表媽媽去天堂一年了。
這幾天很難過(sad..but also at the same time saying that time goes by v slowly...)。
腦裏不斷想回去年這個時候每天就是放了公就趕去陪媽媽。
每天都是到ICU..那裏都是擺滿了不同的儀器。
其實我很不喜歡那個地方..我想因該沒有人喜歡，因爲很恐怖。
因爲在那裏你會覺得生命非常非常脆弱...
儀器的聲音....*do do do do do*...每個一起都在do do do do 聲...
突然閒要是其中一架狂beep時那种感覺真的很恐怖...
最恐怖最難忘的是見著monitor的數字一只往下掉...

在醫院那段時間我看這護士做的我都知道程序了...
我想我曾經說過...因爲一位護士的疏失令到我媽媽要多用了無畏的藥物..要知道適當分量的藥物是好但好像到最后挑到最高時就沒辦法了...只會變成toxic...
而最不能原諒的是不肯承認而還要再三狡辯...我只是想聽到對不起我會更加注意...那就好了...
我真的很感激所有的那時遇到的好護士...就除了幾位...
而老實説我對那醫院的安排到今忍讓非常不瞞...
因爲ICU的病人都是很脆弱了才會在那裏...
所以醫護人員不應該用private nurse ..(1-2 days..then another nurse)
根本這些private nurse 有多少experience 很難說！...
我們也有請private nurse...她做了20years..真的懂的...最少是需要對莫种病人的知識都不比我在醫院天天看得懂的多時...那我就更不可能接受ICU請這些private nurse..private nurse 沒分類...沒錯他們都是畢業于nursing...普通的病人他們綽綽有餘...但ICU我要再三說...對不起真的無法接受！！ICU should have full time nurse and upgrades on their skills as the patients they're taking care of are really on the EDGE...a simple mistake could cause many of complications..

雖然媽媽已是in coma...但那幾天都偶爾會開眼睛...在照片裏媽媽好像是開著我or爸爸笑...
邊拍我就哭了因爲我總覺得怪怪的我就說很怕媽媽要走,很不捨...沒想到三天后的淩晨媽媽就面帶笑容上天堂了...
在三天就一年了....

this weekend is not totally packed..but very tiring...:S
nite out on fri nite to get my guzheng nails :S cos i miss placed my old one -_-""
sat was a girls nite out w my other 2...should be other 3..but doo was sick...
and it was a mushroom pot nite and cafe break...
back home and practice abit more on the guzheng..since i've not played it for 10-11 years -_-...now i feel old haha..i've not played my guzheng ever since O levels.. -_-"" so hope the recording this afternoon was alrite... :S...i missed those piano an guzheng days...but now that i've not touched them for a decade..feels like a beginner again haha...i should put up my guzheng again so i can play with it once awhile haha..how i which its eletric guzheng? haha then i can plug in my headphone without horribly interrupt others..haha...practised till 4am :S when to bed at 5+? ...then by 9 am the phone kept ringing...-_-"""
insomia and interupted sleeps and ..dreaming all the time..means slow reaction and stonning...i dun mind slping for only what 3-4 hrs only but it gotta be SLEEP sleep..no interuptions in between pls...
so 'officially' got up at 12...for dimsum lunch at nobel w my relatives...and then rushed back to get my guzheng and off to studio..puke..ever since i got my guzheng ..i've never moved it out of my hse..and it was heavy..-_-"" took some time to squeeze it into the car..trying hard not to scratch the car haha..-_-""
haha i bet those ppl who looked into the car must have tot..what the hell is that? ..gun? or what..missle?~ haha...
ok...whatever..i'm home n stoning while trying to type...

第五天之台灣游

24/09 typhoon's over..but still hot n sunny...and i still cant believe how its possible to be hotter than singapore...well..its obviously due to the global warming and thanks to us horrible human beings -_-"" 自食其果? ... save the earth!!
ok...anyway..its back to the trip...
despite the hot scorching sun!...we head down..up to beitou!..HAHA..

that's me telling you how hot it is w my expressive face (looks like a dog :p when its tired and thirsty)...on the way to bei tou!~~
hoping to go for a haha...spa...yah now i wonder why on earth would we wanna go for a hot spa on a crazy hot day...? what on earth was i thinking abt? get cooked? maybe!..
haha..well cos i was hoping to see a 'cool' not cold cool..but cool looking outdoor...natural spa that is~..well..to our disappointment...when we got there...wat what saw was really mainly..nice looking 'hotel' spa...which then looks boring to us..haha...cos we're looking forward to..erm 崇尚自然！！haha... so those beautiful nice decor hotel spa was kind of unappealing at ALL!...i mean..i guess i can find any nice spa in singapore too!..only thing was..they wont be able to give us real spring water! haha..and there we decided to give that a missed since its so freaking hot at the same time haha...oo then we stopped by a library there:D to use their computer to get connected with the world again..for 30mins! haha...and get cosy in the air-coned library...
and there its LUNCH time :D

i like to take pics of the sky...whether its the main or the backdrop of the pics...it's always a very nice to look at :D..too bad i cant take pics of the nite sky..maybe some would think who wants to take pic of the nite sky? cos its all dark..there's nothing to see haha..well..then i would love to take a pic of the nite sky filled with stars!!! but its not an easy to find such a sight in singapore...

...just came back from a hangout w my long time neighbour at a nearby mac...
was so tired..i kinda forgot i was driving -_-"" for a few secs haha...
haha cos at the same time we're thinking where should we go...but cos i dint wanna drive too far away..due to tiredness..and..the misty nite...haha..so ended up at mac's again..the 24hrs one...haha and when it freaked her when i told her i forgot i was the one driving *oops*..haha....yah..freaked me too!...and some other silly things i did..0_0...shouldnt drive on a ...slpy day ..haha...
and its weird cos there's quite alot of cars on a weekday nite....and lots of ppl at the mac..dun they need to work tmr? we wonder..cos its usually not so pack on wkdays...

haha..it was hilarious when i asked the receiptionist if she knows where's the garfield cafe ...

haha...so she was very nice to help me checked it :P...
got the address and we head off to the restaurant...it's near the taipei main station :D..and its located underground...so..
haha...now i tot we should have gone for the what bubu restaurant cos i just found out from another fren's pics there's a bubu restaurant...anyway...the garfield cafe wasnt fantastic..-_-""
just lots of garfield plush hanging around...the food's not great at all..but alrite i guess for the price.....

after which...was a hanging out at zhong xiao dong lu again ...haha ..wanted to get a fancy umbrella...with those cute little hooks...there's so many stores selling those umbrella..but i just cant find something i like -_-"" but along the search ...there's this auntie demonstrating the different kind of umbrella to this group of hongkongers...-_-"" her demo was like WOW..haha...
then i realised how durable those umbrellas are..haha
anyways...bought some stuff...took a break at some cafe...

the day started at 930am for me...wash up...slack abit...and then went off to starbucks @ xi men ting..one of my fav starbucks..cos its a very nice cozy place...at ard 11am..

had the usual ice mocha and a yummy cinnamon roll..:D while waiting for my fren to arrive in TP..did some writtings...its so enjoyable to be able to sit and relax at a cafe in a mon morning..with no crowd..no rush..:D
i was there for abt an hr+ and i got a msg frm my fren -_-""" then i gotta rush back to the hotel..luckily it was nearby..so wasnt too bad :D...

after meeting...settled in..and we head off to.......zhong xiao dong lu...
due to typhoon activities down at nan bu...so up here in TP was abit affected with strong wind..drizzles...scorching sun giving us a nice rainbow...crazy weather...!!! ...haiz...
so...shopped at ....sogo...etc..and we were amused by all those different signs..

by 4+ ...exhausted...took a 2hr break at one of the starbucks along zhong xiao..

went to ximen's ah zhong mian xian :P a must have everytime i'm there...
had the big bowl of mian xian that cost NT$$55..i think or was it 50...
anyways...it didnt look so huge thou..so advice next time juz get the small one :D ..especially on a super hot day...continued w a nice green tea with pearl...and head to taipei main station.
shopped at shinkong ...erm...新光三越bought some stuff and the sales told say they gotta see my passport to claim tax .... i tot i'll juz walk around and then head back to hotel to get mypassport.....left the mall n came han kou street. i think was section 2? so i was thinking this should be the road that links back to ximen..
so i walked..n went to every other roads i see along the way and came to this museum ...

i continued my way...back i saw a group of paparazzi i think..cos they're all carrying huge, v pro looking cameras..and waiting at the gate..0_0::
so anyways at the same time i was back on han kou street..at the same time searching for subcrew..cos i wanted to get a cap frm there ...the cap that says crew..but i just cant find the shop..maybe i'll get it nxt time when i go hk...
then i'm finally back at xi men ting.....walked around...and i saw....SHE....yeah!..haha..
thou i'm not a big fan..but out of curiosity..i took a peek haha..

i was like : huh? i mean...i tot its very common..
then anyways...i left cos there wasnt much happening then cos they're having some autograph sessions...
got back to the hotel and its already 4+pm...0_0::: drained by all the walking...the hot scorching sun ...i took a big gulp of vitamin C lemon (drink)..and some cold water :D...got my passport and went out again...sometimes...i think travelling can be fun..but torturing at the same time 0_0::: cos there's so much to see and so much to do ..and that's so little time..
like i always hope ever since i was studying overseas...i was hoping that i could some day..juz get the tix..and leave w/o having to pack any luggage ..ie dun have to bring any luggage...juz me n a passport.. :D then to add on now would be .... having as much time as possible to stay there :D no rush would be good :D..haha..what a dream...*smack my head*..WAKE UP!..
so ..erm...where was i .......
i continued my journey to wu fen pu near this ...hou bi shan station...got some good deals ..then quickly went back to shin kong to get the tax form done...had a quick dinner at the basement foodcourt and went back to hotel by 9+.....that's another day!....

didnt sleep through the night cos i was packing the nite b4...and gotta leave home at 5+ to the airport... at T3..waiting to go into the waiting area...btw..T3 is huge...but the PA system is bad...cos i cant hear what they're talking abt when i was at the boarding area...gate 18..

i took the window seat like always..cos there's always a great view ...and looking at the blue skies and white clouds make me feel like i'm closer to mama.......

however ..most ppl on the board are either..sleeping, watching tv...reading books...doing everything except looking out of the window to take a look at the beautiful skies...the cottonie cloud...i mean u can always read ya papers...watch tv..do any other stuff...on the ground? but u dun get to see the cloud next to u all the time? rite..erm..maybe for those frequent flyers.. :D..

haha alrite..i did watch a movie on board..but after that i was enjoying my flight staring out of the window accompanied joanna wang's album...

so i arrived at taoyuan international airport at 1+pm but the immigration queue was long and hell slow..only managed to get out by 2pm..mrs zhang came to pick me hOhO...and its been 2 years since we met...dropped me at the hotel and tot we'll meet up again tmr since i've got a concert to attend to on that nite :p ....reach wonstar at 3+pm...got the room after waiting for 40mins (puke)...4+ after i've freshen up abit...time to head off to taipei arena!!

小巨蛋！！我來嚕！！ haha..walk over to 西門 stn...blue line ...to 忠孝復興 switch to brown line 南京東路...walk walk walk (took me sometime to search for the taipei arena ..ask the people around...they're so polite and helpful)...by the time i got to the arena...its ..6? there's so many ppl just outside the arena...keke...

while waiting for xiuyue and the group...i bought a star wand...light stick!!... keke.....there's so many other designs...but still stick to my stars :D:D...

so...the group got there abt 7 while i was shopping around..erm..more like hanging ard..haha cos i was already very tired then..and getting abit sleepy :S...

but once I'm in the arena.....its WIDE AWAKE!!.. keke.. walking through those flowers sent by fans n his frens etc... was also v funky...funky cos i see so many flower ..but funky too cos the lilies smells so strong...overpowering and i got to hold my breathe -_-""" nearly died b4 i even reach the hall itself... i hope calalilies dont smell like that...

so anyways..got into the arena...on the my rite (facing the stage) ..SECOND ROW...perfect!!..well it would have been better if its row 1..but its good too on 2nd.....too bad we cant take pics..cos i was stopped by the people from "一句話 studio"...i juz want to take a pic of the guitar!~~~~ why~~..but anyways..i'm sure i can find it online...

i dun usually take any or many pics at concerts..cos

1. i wont be able to concentrate on whats really going on on stage..

2. then it feels like i'm watching it on tv..from the mini camera ...screen...

3. i'll have a million and one people coming up to me all the time saying..u cant take pic here..

in conclusions..i'll rather not have all these interuptions...and store the concert memories in my human cpu....

anyway..the concert was great...GREAT.....Leehom GREAT...i cant say anything else other than..wonderfully presented ..great haha..詞窮！！cant find other words to describe it ..haha..

the musicians ...dancers...back vocalist.......in short ..the whole team did very well..

encore encore encore ..see u in singapore :D hoho...how i wish the sg seats are as good...i wish there werent any VIP seats infront of the on sale tix..i sometimes wonder..how those ppl get the VIP seats..cos they dun usually look very much involved in the concert.. cos they'll always stuck to their chairs..looking bored..anyways...

oo..and i love the song..Everything!..it was a good choice that i went for the 20th concert..thou i would very much love to attend both...keke..

so..after the concert it was 10+pm...stop by thes's hotel...at abt 11pm took at cab back to wonstar ... bought my first 'proper' meal of the day...mos burger ...that's next to my hotel..n its open 24hrs..:D i was too tired to go else where for food :S...

and thats back to rm 706...2 other guys at the lobby were looking at my mos burger haha..i wonder why..i guess they're hungry !!..haha..

so back at 706...i gave mrs zhang a msg that i wont join them for the zhong nan bu trip .. :S cos from the 30 odd hrs w/o slp...walking...unbearable hot weather ...fatigue due to jumping..waving..going crazy during concert.....i got back to the hotel with post concert syndromes..everything seems so quiet then...deafen ears..(not due to horrible sounds but great music :D and systems) ... erm...yeah..anyways i didnt join them for the zhong nan bu trip...

alrite..i guess that's for the 1st day...

怎麽說...

我並不是一個事事順心的人...

可是我發現我是個很lucky的人....

其實我很幸運的逃過幾個天災/人爲的惡習...

例如

2005 在英國的爆炸事件..就在我離開英國凖凖一個禮拜后就發生了那恐怖爆炸事件..
而炸的就是我家的那個tube station...其實在美國911事件之後..已有可能隨時會有恐怖事件在英國發生..可是當它真的發生了還是會擔心還在那裏的朋友...

hmm..還有2006 到台灣參加朋友的婚禮....就在我要回新加坡的前兩天就感覺到餘震...嚇死我了..畢竟是第一次有這樣的感覺ne...之後回到新加坡了..-_-"" 臺灣那還真的有地震:S ....就3天前才跟那台灣朋友說起 -_-"" ...還真的很恐怖嘞..更不能想象5月四川那地震...太恐怖了！！

2008 ..剛從臺北回來的我..很幸運的逃過了3個颱風！！！... 第一個颱風 - 還沒過去（不過本來跟朋友安排那時去的..可是有且是耽擱而要改期）第二個颱風 - 經過南部..我在北部..雖很大風不過還ok.. 26號回來的我..很幸運的逃過了那個26號半夜的大雨...還有這幾天的瘋狂颱風！！..颱風真的很惡劣...在那的朋友們！！要小心呢！！

之前還有幾個..不過我暫時想不起了..
很晚了！！我也該zzzzz 了！！

hmm haiz..but i'm so missing the fun times even before leaving..-_-"" the car to the airport came at 3pm yesterday..and that ends the 7days fun..and thats how quickly time flies..

last week at this hour..i was already back at the hotel ...after a great concert!!..having post concert syndromes -_-"" haha..is there even such a thing? but anyway..i wish i had gone for the 19th one also ..well...
so.. the concert was great...audiences were great...seat's great (cos its so near to the stage..haha well..at least much closer compared to those in singapore...2nd row!! wat else could i ask for..ermm...1st row? of cos that would be WONDERFUL! haha) so..erm...Leehom's great..the musicians' great..back vocalists' great..producer's great..in short..the whole team's great..ahh..i miss those times..haha i'm recalling every bit of the concert now :D
special thanks to leehom sg fanclub and tw fanclub...and of cos specially to xiuyue..for going thru all the trouble to get the tixs :D...

mid-autumn weekend

mid-autumn now compared to those 20years ago is so different...
i havent played with lantern for years...
i havent play the sparkly sticks for years too...
...i guess as we get older we dont play with that anymore...
or maybe i should do something about it for next year's mid-autumn fest..
but anyways..even then mooncakes these days are so different...weird..
there's the durian fillings, chocolate fillings...and many more weird fillings...i suspect they might use lobster or like abalone as fillings in coming years at the rate they're trying to come up with new stuff every year -_-
my personal preference sticks to the original brown skin and lianrong fillings...with a couple of melon seeds..no egg yolk for me :D ...or..the bing pi skin with lian rong is all wonderful and good.. YUM! i'm not even sure if that's the Traditional kind of mooncake..but at least for me..it is!..cos i have that since toddler :)... and that's available even when i was overseas in aus / uk.....
haiz..i miss the time i play with paper lanterns at the junior college oop my old house...and there's one year..the fireman came by the school cos somebody called to say its on fire -_-"""
would love to go back there again nxt year...that's only if that school still opens for public to use the track:D ..i also played battery lanterns too when i was even younger cos my dad's so scare that i would burnt myself somehow..or get the neighbourhood on fire *heehee*..
so...that's all abt the mid -autumn..had dimsum lunchie with my relatives...not bad...

oh yeah i've seen the movie mamma mia...its a fun movie with great songs...

haiz..how i miss being in a musical production..haha..and thats gideon..so long ago..but great memories...tough trainings..rehearsing all the time...remembering the steps for the 'dance' ...remembering where to stand...memorising of all lyrics..after school n wkend practice...for a 2 nite performance...was tiring..but its also one of the best memories of my sch life...good results and satisfying :D:D:D!!! i wonder the tape ...(haha its that old that it's recorded on a tape)..i should have transfer it when i was wrking with oak..hmm...hope the tapes still playable haha...

i get lots of questions on why my nick is 鬼鬼, why ghosie?
and being chinese, most are usually superstitious and prolly wont think that 鬼鬼 is a good nick anyway.
well...now maybe i'll just do a write out on when i got this nick..
"鬼鬼" this nick has been with me for the past 7 years. it was since 2001 when i first left for further studies in aus. back then i stayed in the hostel at bourke street. it was all new and we're the first batch to live in there..and its all good :D ..with just a few...20 odd of us ...i found a group of great pals..and among them there's this pal i'm v close with ..both of us are the extreme nocturnal..so with nothing much to do at late nite like 4am? 5am? ..we would juz loiter around the corridor...walking from our room to each other's then to the kitchen ..to common areas..to other's room ...oo that reminds me we play ps at 4am while everyone else are already in deep sleep. o n it was some racing game..
well besides that ..i've got a weird habit ...cos i dont quite like knocking on the doors ...so what i'd do is ....SCRATCH the door -_-"" that explains why the doors there got lots of scratches -_- anyways..so i go about scratching on others' room door if i'm looking for them and that became my 'way' of knocking and they would know whose at the door haha...
after a couple of months of loitering along the corridor at late nites..and the weird way of 'knocking' i mean scratching of doors...
i was then given a nick as 鬼鬼..but i cant really remember who started calling me that...
so from 鬼鬼..(NOTE: to be called in cantonese) ...conviniently it became 阿鬼..thou i still prefer it to be 鬼鬼..haha..
and 4? years back..i 'translated' it to ghosie..instead of ghost for my emails n other random stuff..
ghosie instead of ghost..cos..erm i guess ppl will prolly go -_-"""""""""" if they receive an email frm a ghost@-----.com... they'd must prolly delete that mail ...haha..

1st diana film

1st diana slide shot was certified as...FAILURE
underexposure...blur...that's all i can describe it as..
lomo xpro 100iso with diana F+..no flash..no sunny day means...wasted film..
well but thats a well learnt lesson..i wonder how many more lesson i gotta learn to really know how the diana functions..most of the time is like guess how long shall i leave the shutters open? huh..i guess i'm still better at normal manual cameras...at least i can choose those settings and would know if its under/overexpose..
but anyways... :D now with my 120mm slide loaded..ready and set...and all i need now is ..the...SUN!...well or a flash..but haha i didnt get the diana flash...so ..i'll need SUN..or maybe i can use my other flash ..
argh!...so sad :( ...there goes my 1st diana slide..GONE~...
hope the 120 slide will be ok.. :D

LONG walk

1st lomo day - cloudy - raining - sunny - drizzle - cool

everything started from Chinatown..taking my first ever lomo pictures with my diana F+ and a lomo xpro slide film...it was exciting and fun.
we walked through the shophouses, into temples, into the sideways, back doors of the chinatown area..throughout those times, I was behaving just like a TOURIST!
Slowly we found ourselves at near this Maxwell Market or Scarlet hotel...quicken my steps cos I've always wanted to checkout those little shops in that area...we walked around for awhile, we forgot that our mission for the today was to shoot and ah mu conveniently kept the camera..haha
Walked up to Ann Siang to checkout the Asylum, I found the little fisheye I wanted to get but it was -_- rather expensive so maybe next time.
Continued to go along Ann Siang.
Along this five foot way, first it was a cloudy day, 5 secs later after walking into the shop and up the stair it was raining already and that's definately not a good thing for lomo shooters.
Blah blah blah...caught in the rain...left my umbrella in the other bag...then the rain got heavier.. which was bad...thought we could then find a cafe nearby but none of which was open cos it was a weekend at CBD..Nevermind! we ran over to the other street ..nothing there..continued on.. finally we thought we were close to getting to china square .. HA..thanks to the forever upgradings..the wonderful construction between us and china square building told me one thing..
So near YET so far. there was NO way to cross that site..so i thought we'll just walk around the shophouses again and through those side roads.. WE FOUND THE WAY.. it was good but it was bad too cos being caught in the rain, my headache's back on again.. we reached china sq browsed through the fleamarket..nothing much though..then we found this place to take a rest.. at DON's something haha its a pie place ...shared the shedperd's pie ..super sweet chocolate fudge cake..
chit chat...and Suddenly i went...OH!...ah mu looked at me huh??...i said ..THE SUN's OUT!...i really must say this is the FIRST time ever i was so happy to see the sun out again. even the days in the gloomy london i've not wished much to see the sun..cos most of the time i was praying for the snow :D
ok..so we quickly load up the next roll of films :D and continued on the mission..
walked over to my mom's old office.. :D walked around those huge skyscapes..
but good times didnt last for very long ...drizzles back into the picture...
and yah BACK into my pictures...cos a HUGE drop of rain fell on my face while i was trying to take a pic of those buildings -_-""
however its good that its was just drizzles...dragging our legs..we reached boat quay...n i SEE the sun again...wonderful~~~...crossed the cavenagh bridge..through the victoria concert hall..to the old parliament..passby the padang (when some rappers were rehearsing for some human race after concert i guess)...then wow ..raffles city/swisshotel's infront of us..continue dragging ourselves...we reached marina square...shopped abit cos we're too tired to shoot..actually we didnt shop..we just went to a shoe shop to checkout the shoes...then went over to suntec...and CRAP..cos it was comex wkend...argh..packed w people...it was so packed ...we're all like sardines !!..me and ah mu felt dizzy and horrified by the amount of people especially after such a long walk... we quickly walked around...found 2 seats at a corner...sat for awhile..stoning**..
had sakae sushi (haiz..sakae sushi's standard had dropped SOOO much, i prolly wont go anymore if it continues on like that)..then...we went home..haha
it was really a HUMAN RACES!...marathon !!! wow now to think of ..its like going through the iron man ...woman competition...the walk...the weird walkways of the five foot ways/path?..the rain...the searching for ways out...
haha now to think back..it was fun.. haha...and cool to discover so many places in singapore i've not been to..or havent been to for a long time...esp BY FOOT...oo and even to take a cab home...we walked from suntec to raffles hotel haha..ahh..satisfying...hope the pics will turn out fine..hmm...when's the next shoot?

will be shooting my 1st set of lomo pics...how exciting !!
ever since 2002 when i did a module on still image..shooting w my classmates..at a park and being attacked by a bird -_-..(yes..birds in melb are -_- ..beware of them)...and that whichever year i went out shooting with my fren with my old second hand manual camera Pentax K1000..
this year 2008 will be another day of artistic photography day haha... another manual cam...but a toy one keke..pray for the sun...so the colors will be nice :D
oo another reason to be happy cos my tw buddy will be free to entertain me in tw ..whhOooopieeee...

cough..luckily its not as bad as the one i had for 3 months in 2007.
itchy throat...hoarse voice...argh...sounds horrible..
left nose blocked ..causing my left ear to be blocked as well..
causing me to feel paranoid...cos i tot its dirty...but the doc said its clean n good

the cough only gets worse at nite which makes it hard for me to slp..
and guess what..so i take some flu med i got frm the pharmacy ..
which i took b4...ok thou its now re-named but it claims to be the same..
so...3days ago..i took 2 at nite...supposedly...flu med should make u feel drowsy so u can slp n rest..this super flu med i took didnt have any of those effect..instead i wasnt able to slp the whole nite..which was torturing as i was only able to fall aslp at 8am -_-""""
at first i tot was just be thinking too much~..
well so i told the flu med again last nite...n again i fell aslp only at 6+am -_-"""
maybe next time if i need to burn midnite oil..i can try taking that again!..

cos i had this stressful cab ride home again..(to emphasy it...) AGAIN..
these days..i really wonder why these cab driver speed like they're driving a F1 car...ferrari?
and cuts every other peoples' lane if they're not speeding like they are...
so after dropping my fren off at toapayoh...thou the journey home was like 5mins (mind..u...speeding speed) ...oo i dun even knw if its more than 5 mins..so anyways..it felt like forever...
cos he was speeding cutting from lane 3 into lane 1....Zoooom...then dint even notice how..he's back in lane 3....then came this modified subaru nxt to us in lane 2.....(modified car - i normally refers that as ...AH BENG CAR..with the horrible noise pollution they produce..w the loud *TECHNO* songs they play to announce their arrival...and some as weird lights at weird places...like...under the car? ..or like where the pedals are...i mean...hmm why do u nd lights under the car? so u can see if u ever need to go under them? or so if u run over somebody they can still see whats under ya car? ..and lights at pedal area? dun tell me u need to look wheres the accelerate pedal n ya break pedal...or ya clutches are...hmm..how did u pass ya licences when u're looking at the wrong place?)
ok..anyway...so this ah beng car came in to lane 2 nxt to us...i sensed the tense between both drivers...n its not like i'm not stressing enough .. ooo there's a smallllllll yellow hatchback car in front of us...driving normally...yes...
..to continue...AH BENG CAR changed gear..(u would wonder ..how did u knw..ooo yes..one of the noise prollution is .. i could hear even frm another car when they change gears...*puke*

but he was hell threatening the tiny yellow car infront of us... mind we're still in lane 3...

then he was going hell close to 'tiny yellow' ...then going into lane 3....zoooommmmmmm so close...the 'tiny yellow' didnt bother much..or maybe too small to speed with him...mr cabby zooommmz out to lane 2 again..zooOOOmmmm..back into lane 3..this time infront of 'tiny yellow'.. n i was still like that ._.'' ...oo n the rest i cant remember...as he exit the CTE..
oo all these may sounded like forever..but it all happened in secs...n not to mention...as it was all happening ..the next exit is where i live... -_-"""
i understand that these cabbies want to quickly pick up the nxt customer so they could earn more..but definately ya life..AND ya passenger's life is worth more than any penny u're going to earn from that extra secs u sped for...and being spite by some other drivers and to race is definately unacceptable. and also causing stress to other drivers and oo passengers is also unacceptable...

sorry if u're a fan of those ah beng cars/ crazily modified cars...cos i'm definately not a fan of it...
esp when its juz additional of air/sound pollution...or ridiculous lightings...and with techno music playing to announce its arrival...-_-""" i can hear you even from the nxt junction.....
oo n the other noise pollution is .. i really despites....imagine this scenario...
i'm walking on the pathway...this ah beng car on the street...coming from behind was going like BRROOOoommm....deafening level (to me cos its annoying) ...BRoooommmm...Brooooomm..

i'm a fan of BROOOOOMMMMMMMMMM ..gust of wind...n i go..OOO i cant even see what car it was...

and to conclude...i'm not a speeder but i'm not afraid of speeding/fast speeds but that's only if its necessary..n if ya skills allow u ..... and if u're not responsible of anything in this world ever ..go on..be generous on ya pedals...u'll be most welcome to...provided that u'll not hurt anyone...do it all u want man....oo also that the petroleum's hell expensive now..haha u gota have cash to do so... :D

lastly...this entry does not conclude all cabbies....well just that i had met many of them ..sad to say..or maybe i'm just 'sway' ... and i also had horrible experiences of cabbies resisting to pick up customer at either taxi stand or on the street..reason being..its PEAK HOUR...they're waiting for phonebooking..cos they can charge more..to list a few
- locked the door as i was JUST about to reach the car door handle..
- shows as hired when i DONT see anyone in the cab...
- refuse to take passengers from taxi stand after dropping the previous customer at the same place (...example..wisma taxi stand)

...despite all these horrible service....the cab fares increases every other time...in additional with all kinds of weird charges..
my stand....TRY NOT TO TAKE TAXI!!..but i had no choice if i hang out late..thats one bad thing about singapore's public transport...sat? nite? ...mrt services ..? last train?? 1230? ...bus? not very convenient cos it only goes to selective places..so what? its either cab...or walk home? haha..ok well i could have drove home...however getting a lot in town is so hard..oo n parking fees in town cost a bomb esp when i'm out since afternoon...it'll prolly cos me a pair of new jeans...maybe it's time to check out where in town charge cheaper for parking...hoho...

argh..i'm really up to the max with starhub cable !!!
before..it was repeating programmes a million times...even till now..
and now..great that there's 6 channels to telecast the beijing olympics..
but..out of that 6...4 are showing football..and really how many matches can a football fan watch at a time??? and out of tat 4..u prolly only wanted to watch 2 out of the 4..like china vs brazil? or arg vs i cant remember...what is wrong with their programme scheduler..its definately crappy planning..from b4 till now..and the menu schedule is also filled with mistakes...done any QC? aiyYAAA...*bang the head against the wall*

and its rediculous on how they repeat their programmes..
back then when i was studying ...i remember how i watch almost the same show everytime i come back for my summer vacation..prolly juz at different broadcast timing...i actually reckon that they simply recycle their schedule every year ... *puke*...

the opening was good..presented the long history of china..lots of effort n manpower used there..and definately lots of hardworked put in by everyone involved...ending it with the torch relay coming into the 'bird's nest' ..light up...wooOhooo beautiful fireworks...
hmm thou i tot that 2hrs of introducing competitors from all the different countries was boring ..cos it was really v long!..but well i supposed its meaningful for those competitors who had put in so much juz to get there...

anyways...i've been busy catching up with VOLLEYBALL!!!! ... diving... swimming... basketball.. gymnastic.. weightlifting .. and waiting for more to come! :P

..thats abt it for nw..

i supposed many dint felt as much for Singapore's National day on sat cos of the olympic..well me too -_-"" but i watched the parade ..n it never failed to remind me of the NDP97..the lots of practices starting from feb all the way to aug on every sat and as it gets closer to the parade ..there'll be like 3-4 times a wk w our own conductor and wkends at the stadium...not to forget the KFC we get to eat every sat with a can of Oolong tea (what a mixture) ...n why KFC? when we gotta sing for hours ? huh..ok they sponsored but ..haha..we had hours of practices n w the help of fried chicken ? hmm maybe its a kind of training too....OH...and it at the kallang stadium which will soon be demolished ..end of the year? :( its all these memories and experiences that's worth all the hard work...oo but we had lots of fun during those hard work times too...and certainly misses all of those times once its over...same goes for the gideon musical etc...SYF!!!...tsktsktsk...haha..i think i cant go to sleep if i continue listing all of it..

ok..signing off... i'm already looking forward to the London olympic 2012..

26.7 - eason chan's concert...
finally, cos i missed his concert last year..so glad that he's back here for another one..
well i only found out that the best seats cost like 200+ which is very pricey for a concert tix here..cos its usually priced at 168 188..less than 200 anyways..
so i was pretty surprised cos my fren only told me abt it on the actual day of the concert..n reason why i didnt checked it b4..cos my fren wants to watch the $88 tix..so i tot alrite..n didnt bother to check it ..
the stages designs and all are so simplified that i tot wasnt very well done...the screens were rather small frm my pov...no lyrics..haha well doesnt matter too much..but the stage itself was abit too plain..prolly thats what they wanted...to bring out that good vocal of eason..alrite then...
n b4 eason's concert..we went to the "mint toy museum" cant remember the exact name..but i'm sure u can find it..its behind raffles hotel...
its fun there..u get to see the old toys...we went crazy in there...takings random n crazy pics..i'll post it some day when i finally upload it ..
anyways..there's the very old school snacks...n toys..like..the classic mickey mouse...batman superman n all kinds of men with their super power....
n the weird n big bird plane!..haha with a very old school n BIG remote...
i do wonder if that bird could really lift off..haha

The Trouble with Waiting's Screening

so..i received a text from naz telling me that the short film - the trouble with waiting will be screening at Sinema Old School last nite .. and he reserved a tix for me..so i tot i'll go n take a look..
it was such an adventure even just to get to the Sinema Old School cos i felt like i've done my 1 yr of exercise..and it didnt help much w the rain and my small umbrella. if u dont understand what i mean...try climbing up the flight of stairs next to the condo near PS..i guess u might know which one i'm claiming .. yes..that very steep one.. it was as good as climbing the 萬里長城..(haha i'm not too sure about that..i'm most probably abit exaggerating keke..) and it felt worse when u're halfway up..and u'll start to think..maybe i should forget about going there ..but then i was thinking again..well..i've climbed like more than half ...how can i give up now..then i went on climbing climbing..yah my other fren told me once that it took her 30mins to climb that..haha now i was thinking..why did she take so long..cos its really not so bad that u need 30mins to go up...well..
so i reached way b4 the show starts ..ie at 9pm..well my ex colleagues were late..n my ex boss reached first..well so we went in first with the writer..i was really happy that the short film was awarded the best? asian short film..if i didnt remember wrongly. anyways..doesnt matter..what matters was that my boss..ie the director of that short film said that it was very well-received in korea..and when the film ended..the theatre was so silent..cos they were crying -_-"" thou i never tot that they'd cry..but well..probably they understood how those cambodians felt..
as one of the editors who edited this film..its interesting to see it on a bigger screen too as compared to those normal hd screens at work ...
besides the trouble with waiting (brother no2) ..veil of dreams was screened together...
veil of dreams had some interesting info..like..if u go to iraq..for woman, regardless of ya race or religion..u have to put on the hijab...and yeah..if u're a woman there...there's the WOMAN's ONLY CAB!...with a woman driver..and that woman driver was pretty funny..talking on n on on how good it is to have a woman cab..btw..woman's cab there are Green color..so its easy to recognise..other than that..it was abit draggy..but thats alrite..and sorry but i was rather 'surprised' on the person who did that VO..didnt quite like it..but shouldnt say much cos i know who did that -_-""
so..that's the end of my Sinema old school trip...
oo yes...it was torture on the way up..but was lucky that my ex boss dropped us at the nearest mrt...so u know i tot the nearest mrt would be Dohby gaut (aiya cant spell) ..god knows..we ended up at bugis...haha..

tips on using microwaves

microwaves are scary little boxes when u're not using it the right way..
i still a safe user...but i've seen n heard of so many horrible users..
my ex hostel mate exploded one of the 4 microwaves we had at the hostel..hehe..n there goes the alarm when everyone had to evacuate the building in a cold winter nite. n he still has a bowl of noodle n a pair of chopsticks in his hands..n then never forget to mention about that towel on...HANGING on his head..for a second he looks like he's going for a shower w that bowl of noodles..well maybe that's his "survival tools"

1) never attempt to boil anything like EGG w the microwave..cos my fren did that..n BOOOM well..i think one reason being the heat in the egg itself cant be release n there it goes...a mess to clean up..if more then that..a kitchen to clean up..:D and if possible try not to boil any liquid stuff w that..its all for ya own safety..:D ..if u really wanna eat egg like my fren..u can make scramble egg but not a boil egg..! ..

2) dun put plastics / styrofoam box / metal or anything that's gonna melt... in there..it'll give horrible smell n turn ya microwaves BLACK

anyways...stay away frm microwave ..use it only when necessary (not due by the laziness) :S ...erm..besides..microwave's not good for health i heard..well i suppose too..
i really dun wish to see any one w a stylishly black coated (like charcoal) microwave..

... these are from my 1yr experience living / depending totally on microwave at that hostel..cos there's no stove..horrible hostel ..n of cos my experiences for using microwave all my life...erm..half of my life...n those scary little incidents of my frenssss...

今年的生日是有生以來最不同 - 是少了一位對我很重要的。其實自從出國留學后就很久沒過了。
及時是21嵗時也是跟我哥在倫敦唐人街的"misato" 吃了我最愛的日式料理之後和朋友喝喝咖啡。
之後那幾年也是就吃個飯etc..
而去年的。。大概這輩子也不會忘記。。因爲就在我生日前2天。。媽媽病情惡化的更嚴重。。那時的我只希望媽媽能醒來。。在她耳邊一直要她加油而我也知道她一直以來都很勇敢，很努力。。媽媽在天上要快樂要健康還有要想我們，因爲我們都很想你！！

whatever this band is called..its the very sporty looking magnetic band..which is now used by many ppl all over the world...
well...i have it at home too!..my dad bought it for my mom hoping it could reduce some of her pain..well but wasnt very helpful for her thou..mainly cos after awhile with that band on..she feels giddy and all..guess was too strong for her ..
ever sinced..that band was left in the tray..i picked it up today..is it really so good?
i put it round my neck *buckled* hmm...*wait*..oo..ok..my neck doesnt feel as pain as b4..dont know if thats 心理作用but anyways..maybe it does help abit..well nw after half a day..my neckache is gone..but haha my shoulder is aching...*feels old*...

updates..went for the rules #1 premiere last week..ok..erm..well i was dragged along by my fren..cos she's got tix for it..main reason..cos ekin's in town...and she wants to see him..there i'm dragged along..without knowing what movie i'm actually going for..
u'll not believe this..i know ekin has a new movie...i knw kelvin tong has a new film too!.and i know kelvin's a horror film..but i didnt realise its all about the same film..

anyways...the film wasnt too scary..cos my fren kept talking next to me..n well..she predicted that that 'ghost' is that guy..so anyways..yes..typical horror film...its those sudden boooo-ing..the blood..the very dark set-ups..and of cos thanks to the sound effects..dun believe me..mute it and its like hmm..zzzz not scary anymore..ok..maybe those gruesome bloody scene will give u abit of a chill..well also mainly cos i dun like those bloody stuff..
ok..well..that's it abt that film..
over the weekend..went for a great film..august rush!..its great to have such talented kid...
anyways..that film..i loved it..the music...the smart boy..so determind to find his parents..wow..do i hear it..yeah! i do!..
beside the movie bit..i went w my fren to get a baby gift...
ooOOOOOO everything at that department looks CUTE
extremely real cute...
like the tiny 0-3mths shirt...the little dresses...the little shoes and all..

今天看到一對阿公阿婆阿婆抅著阿公的手
慢慢的走著是多麽另人羡慕的時刻
這可不是很簡單的事，尤其是這個年代
不是性格不和要分手要離婚要不就是健康的問題
總而言之就是不容易
真是羡慕不已！

while i was channel surfing at evening..
i came upon this taiwan channel..talking abt lydia sum..a famous HK artiste..
she passed away in the morning .. for the past few months i often see her new on the hk yahoo.
about her going in and out of the hospital ICU..and that reminds me of my mom's condition back then...
i still missed my mom alot..but at the same time i'll like to send my condolences to Joyce (Lydia Sum's daughter)..even thou i dont know her..but i can totally understand how it feels..its really hard to see and let her go..while u cant do a thing to stop it..

well..some ppl say..having that kind of illness is like giving them time to say goodbye to their loved ones..giving time to the people to prepare that ..they will leave soon..but again..during those times..its going to be hard and painful with all the treatments..one gets tired very easily..they wont be able to do much things like they used too..willpower is very important..but sometimes no matter how much effort they put in..its really up to the body too..
i've seen it..and i know..everything just deteriorate to an extend where u cant control it anymore..

not trying to say one should give up easily....but is to have stronger willpower..cos thats how my mom has make it thru the 4 years..

people often forget and neglect whats important to them due to work or whatever so.. take some time off ..that few days or hours will not make u an unsuccessful person..

我們在這地球到底是有什麽意義?
這麽努力工作然後就離開..
幾千年下來..這個世界怎麽好象沒變得更好嘞...
反而有一大堆的災(disaster),仗(war),病痛(illness -virus) 一大堆..還有變種有的沒的..

and as for me..nothing special:( cos ..no lover..argH! but anyways..
surprise surprise!..at least i saw leehom on 東風channel ..at this concert..woooHooo...

ok..talking abt love..
never did i expect that this love story will be published on the papers..
its about my dad and mom.
Dr Ang Peng Tiam recently wrote an article about my parents on the wednesday (13Jan08)'s Straits Times - Mind Your Body, which was my mom's fav sections.
i guess she has never expected that their story's gona be on it.

the original copy is with my dad rite now..and Dr Ang (to my bro i always calls him uncle ang..duno why but unintentionally i'll say uncle instead of Dr..maybe cos he's always been doing his best to help my mom even thou we all know sometimes that its time to let go).... he has witnessed this true love..he even noticed how happy my dad and of cos all of us will be when there's a bit..tiny winy bit of hope..many doc suggested to us that we let her go..but its not so easy..because of our decision..they continued giving us the full support..even till the very last moments...

here..i want to THANK everyone whom put in all their efforts and love during the 5 years battle ..THANK YOU.. Dr ANG PENG TIAM, Dr ADRIAN TAN, Dr WINSTON JONG, ALL NURSES AND MEDICAL STUFF AT WARD 9 and ICU and of cos those nurses at Dr ANG's clinic! @ the Mount Elizabeth Hospital! Oh yes...and all the therapists.

here i want to wish everyone..a great valentine's day ..
if no lover..then spend sometime with ya family..enjoy it as a family day then ok!..

its chinese new year...wish everyone good health n a great properous year!!..

the reunion dinner was the same as every year..going to my grandma's place for dinner...

and tmr will b going over to my grandma's hse for "kai nian fan"!..

thou reunion dinner is the same..but it somewhat felt different..

reason being ..mommy's not w us..thou i always feels her presence...

after d dinner..came home..at abt 12am..ie chu 1..

went to 'fa cee' to get some flowers like the shui xian n ying liu n pink rose(for mommy)

i saw this lovely cala lily!! so nice ..but..it cost 18bucks for like 4? 5? stalk..

hmm..so forget it keke..

i've got so much to say earlier but now am so tired to type them out!..
